Erik supports Biomimetics International’s growth by advancing its member recruitment and retention, leading external and internal communications, expanding the association’s global network, and building its Board of Advisors, which includes senior executives from Microsoft, Target, and Global Citizen, among others. He also helps produce the association’s annual Industry Strategy Symposium, a multi-day event hosted by the University of Minnesota for three years in a row.

Concurrently, he is also an Advisor for External Affairs and Stakeholder Relations at Stewardverse Strategies, an advisory firm helping businesses of all sizes grow by prioritizing the needs of people and nature.

Previously, Erik was the founding director of the Corporate Program at the Inter-American Dialogue in Washington, DC, where he engaged hundreds of the world’s most well-known and innovative companies in the think tank’s mission, including Apple, BMW, Chevron, Citigroup, DHL and many more. While there, he also oversaw the Latin America Advisor, a daily publication that grew into a highly respected brand among global business leaders, government officials, and scholars.

He has been appointed twice to the Governor of Minnesota's Trade Policy Advisory Council and has served on the boards of nonprofit organizations at both local and international levels.
