Louis Rosenberg, PhD is an early pioneer of virtual and augmented reality and a longtime AI researcher. His work began in 1991 in labs NASA and the US Air Force where he developed the first mixed reality system. In 1993 he founded the early VR company Immersion Corporation and brought it public on NASDAQ. In 2004 he founded the early augmented reality and spatial media company Outland Research. In 2014 he founded Unanimous AI to pioneer the concept of Collective Superintelligence by developing AI technologies for connecting large human groups modeled on the biological principle of Swarm Intelligence. Rosenberg received his PhD from Stanford University, has been awarded over 300 patents worldwide, and was a tenured professor at California State University. He writes often for VentureBeat and Big Think on the impacts of emerging technologies. His latest book, Our Next Reality came out in 2024 from Hachette Book Group.
