Kaitlin Chuzi is the Director of Biomimicry and Integrated Technology at Microsoft, where she leads the Ecosystem Strategy & Innovation team. She is driving a global shift in how data centers are developed, embedding ecological restoration and community value directly into Microsoft’s growth strategy. Her leadership has earned recognition through the Data4Good Life on Land Award (2022), Arizona State University’s Emerging Leader Award (2023), and the iMasons IM100 Award (2025), underscoring her impact at the intersection of business, technology, and the environment.

Kaitlin holds a Master’s in Biomimicry and is one of a small, globally recognized group of professionals with the Biomimicry Professional Certification, the highest level of expertise in applying nature’s design principles to human systems. She bridges ecology, technology, and community development to design infrastructure that actively restores ecosystems. Her frameworks—spanning ecosystem service quantification, nature-integrated technology, and regenerative infrastructure strategy—position Microsoft as an industry leader in environmental resilience.

In addition to her corporate leadership, Kaitlin is advancing the field of nature-based intelligence in the age of AI. Drawing from biomimicry, systems thinking, and ecological science, she advocates for technological systems that reflect the resilience, reciprocity, and adaptability of living systems. Her work focuses on practical frameworks that align innovation with ecological principles, ensuring technology serves both human and environmental well-being.
